Incredible Original 1950s Turquoise And Hold Lurex Swimsuit Playsuit

This incredible swimsuit was made in the 1950s from stretchy turquoise and gold lurex and gives us all the Vegas showgirl vibes! The strapless design has been shaped at the bust to create a deep plunging neckline that has been laced with gold lurex ribbon. Stunning tailored seam work shapes the piece to create that iconic bombshell hourglass silhouette and a decorative double panel covers the stomach area for a flattering fit. The wonderful shaping of this piece continues with overbust boning that runs down the centre to the waist and beautiful high leg cutouts to show off those pins and elongate the leg.

Bust: 34” stretching to tight 36” but could be loosened at the bust ties

Waist: 28” - 32”

Hips: 35” - 39”

The swimsuit is in very good condition with only some slight wear as pictured as well as some slight seam stress in places. Please note there is some period seam serving inside, as is common of early swimwear pieces.
