This fabulous tie was made in the 1940s from good quality silk. The tie is decorated with a large chevron of red and white houndstooth on the shell and the tail. There is also a cleverly placed block of houndstooth at the neck which emphasises the design against the lilac background. The tie has a white silk interlining and there is a maker’s label for Linde Made In California, USA.
