Stunning Original 1940s Volup Vintage Blue Plaid Check Swing Coat With Statement Pockets
This gorgeous coat was made in the late 1940s from soft wool in a classic navy and cream check pattern. It was cut in the typical swing shape of the era with padded shoulders and a loose fit below. The beautiful pattern matching at the back really enhances the shape and creates a chevron pattern where the coat flares out. The sharp dagger collar leads to three large square buttons which fasten the coat at the bust. Geometric detailing highlights the functional hip pockets and matching details adorn the oversized sleeve cuffs. Inside, the coat is lined in navy rayon faille and has a maker’s label for Bradley of New York.

The coat is in very good condition with only some slight yellowing on the cuffs and some splits to the lining as pictured.
