Exceptional Original 1930s Vintage Brown Fur Trimmed Princess Coat
This exceptional coat was made in the 1930s from rich brown boucle wool. This is a real statement piece with the iconic gathered and padded shoulders of the period. The small stand up collar and entire shoulder section has been covered in sumptuous soft fur to give a stunning caped effect. Matching fur trim decorates the common section of the hem and seven large buttons fasten the coat at the front. The elegant long lines and gentle nip to the waist are absolutely iconic of the mid 1930s period and finding a piece like this in great condition is beyond rare. The inside of the coat is lined in brown crepe and remarkably there are no maker’s labels present.
